Yoga came into Heather’s life in 2001 when her husband suggested they take a class at the gym together. She was immediately hooked! It affected her physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Throughout her years of practice, she always knew that she would someday share her passion for it through teaching.
As an Early Childhood Educator, she always found a way to work a little yoga into the day as she taught her Pre-K classes. After leaving the classroom, to stay at home with her three boys, she became a yoga instructor. She received her 200 RYT in Hatha tradition through Sol Yoga in Frederick, MD in 2009. She is currently working on her 300 hour certification in Pranakriya’s Advanced Studies. She has been sharing her enthusiasm about yoga while teaching Prenatal, Baby & me, kids, and adult classes.
Heather discovered her path for Prenatal Yoga during her mentor-ship shortly after she began teaching at Sol Yoga. Immediately, she began teaching Prenatal Yoga and Baby & me classes there. She has a passion to support and empower women during their pregnancies. Honored to be a part of their amazing prenatal journeys, she’s thrilled when many of these moms return to yoga with their babies. In 2011, she became certified in Level 1 Pranakriya Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training with Jacci Gruninger. After assisting Jacci for two years, she completed Level 2 PYTT in 2013. A Santa Fe based yoga teacher, educator and human being, Jacci feels she has been on a journey of awareness and awakening her whole life.
She reflects that she was practicing “yoga” before she ever practiced yoga. This way of being alive and present for every experience is what calls to her most deeply and infuses her teaching. She uses the practice of yoga to see how her habits restrict, distract and cause suffering.
Using the skill of witnessing, which she learned from her teachers Yoganand Michael Carroll and Sudhir Jonathon Foust, she is now better able to see her habits and open to her life finding more freedom and joy.
As a teacher, Jacci invites her students to go inside and feel rather than focusing on what the pose looks like. She uses the techniques of inquiry, witnessing and allowing to encourage students to be present with their life in the moment.
Jacci has over 1500 hours of training in a wide variety of yoga disciplines, in addition to receiving her Masters of Health Science from The George Washington University. She completed her 200 and 500 hour yoga teacher training at the Kripalu Center for Yoga in addition to completing a second 500 hour certification in yoga therapy. She is a certified yoga herapist (C-IAYT), registered prenatal yoga teacher (RPYT) as well as a Thai Yoga Massage Therapist.
Jacci is the Executive Director of the Pranakriya School of Yoga Healing Arts as well as Director of their 200-hour, Basic Prenatal, Restorative Yoga, and Gentle Yoga Teacher Trainings. She lives in Santa Fe with her son, Justin, and their dog Ash.
Jacci leads the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training; Restorative Yoga Teacher Training, Basic Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training and the Deepening the Asana Experience; Asanas for Gentle Yoga.

Vladimir Tchakarov ¦ E-RYT 500
Born and raised in Bulgaria, Vladimir was introduced to yoga as a child by his mother who was a practitioner. Growing up he studied martial arts and began teaching classes in his father’s dojo at age 12. In adolescence he was introduced to chi gong, meditation and eastern philosophy by his father who practiced daily.
A few years after Vladimir emigrated to the United States his father was diagnosed with cancer and passed away six months later. Seeking healing and following his father’s final wish, to grow spiritually, Vladimir began practicing yoga at a nearby studio. There he met his teachers William Hufschmidt and Yoganand Michael Carrol.
Soon Vladimir was practicing yoga and meditating daily for up to 8 hours. Over the last 10 years he has completed his 500 hour certification with Pranakriya and has continued his daily practice without fail, enjoying the profound insight and vitality generated by it. His teaching style emphasis a slower paced practice with longer held postures, internal focus on breath, sensations and emotions, and a deep understanding of yoga philosophy. Currently Vladimir teaches yoga full time in Atlanta GA, and around the country as a Pranakriya director.

William Hufschmidt (E-RYT 500) journey with healing began at age 14 as he recovered from a car accident. Watching his breath and his thoughts helped to manage the pain and healing of a fractured femur. Progressing through months of traction, a wheelchair, a few casts, and eventually crutches, it took William two years to fully regain control of his body. This early experience fortified his belief that we can heal from anything if we consciously navigate our healing process.
In 1989, William took his first yoga class with Lorna Brown, and subsequently taught his first classes with her guidance and encouragement. In 2001, William completed the 200-hour-level Yoga Teacher training at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, and in 2007, completed Kripalu’s 500-hour training. In 2002, William first studied Thai Yoga with Patricia Kilpatrick and Saul David Raye, and in 2006 studied at Thailand’s esteemed Wat Po in Bangkok, then continuing on with “Mama Lek” Chaiya in Chiang Mai. In 2012, William completed training with the Guild for Structural Integration in the Rolf Method for Structural Integration. William’s teachers are Yoganand Michael Carroll, Vidya Carolyn Dell’uomo, Saul David Raye, Pierce Salguero, and life itself.
As a teacher, William empowers students to explore their edges and potentials. “We all do not walk the same path towards self-discovery. However, we are all storehouses of infinite wisdom and creativity. Through the practices of yoga, breathwork, sacred touch and play, we can tap into inner reservoirs of energy and possibility.
William leads the 200 Hour Pranakriya Teacher Training; Pranayama: Theory & Teaching; Anatomy for Yoga Teachers & Practitioners; Holding Space: Developing Skills for Presence & Touch; Skills for Hands on Assisting & Manipulations; Thai Yoga Basics; Thai Sen Lines and Thai Sequencing and Transitions.
