March 11 - March 16$395
Presenter: Yoganand Michael Carroll
Location: Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, Lenox, MA
For yoga teachers and interested students with min. 6 months yoga experience.
The Bhagavad Gita is a 2,000-year-old Sanskrit text that offers profound insights into the deeper practices of yoga. As the seeker in the Gita metaphorically prepares for the battle of spiritual transformation, he asks his teacher a series of questions. In his answers, the teacher explains the many challenges and stages of the yogic spiritual path.
Explore themes from the Bhagavad Gita that are meaningful for contemporary yoga practice. While study of the Gita is the primary focus of this program, each morning also includes asana and pranayama practice, with stretch breaks during the day and relaxation or pranayama before the end of each session to integrate your experience.
Required reading We will use the Bhagavad Gita translated by Winthrop Sargeant as our text. Please purchase this book before the program begins or download the PDF.
