PROGRAM YOU ARE IN TRAINING TO LEAD: 200-hour YTT
WHY DID YOU JOIN THE DIT PROGRAM? I chose to join the DIT program because I enjoy teaching and this is a great opportunity to deepen my own understanding while helping others move forward in their yoga practice as well.
FAVORITE HOBBIES/PASTIMES: I enjoy cooking, baking, gardening, and traveling!
FAVORITE FOOD: This is a hard question to answer since my tastes are changing. Two things I enjoy though are sweet potatoes and chocolate.
FAVORITE PERSON(S): I won’t say she’s one of my favorite people since I don’t know her personally, however, I do admire Oprah Winfrey. Hearing Oprah’s story of how she grew up and then went on to became the self-made millionaire and professional that she is today, it is quite inspiring. I appreciate that through her philanthropic efforts, she gives generously to many organizations and has her own projects that give to others, such as The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls. All of this motivates me to continue to do better and more for myself and for others.

FAVORITE TRAVEL DESTINATION: I enjoy traveling to Arizona. I find it peaceful to view the ever-changing colors the sky cast over the Red Rock of Sedona. At night, the stars are so bright it looks like you can reach out and touch them.
WHAT ARE YOU READING RIGHT NOW? I’m in the middle of a few books, all yoga related, but unfortunately, I have not dedicated time to finish any of them!
What music do you like to practice to if any? I typically like to practice to ambient music playing softly in the background. Bija by Todd Norian is a favorite for a deep, relaxing practice. When I’m in the mood to flow, I like Kundalini Chillout: Liquid Mantra Remixes by Krishan.
UPCOMING GOALS/PLANS THAT YOU ARE EXCITED ABOUT: I often have people compliment the sound of my voice and suggest that I produce a recording that they can listen to when they are not in a yoga class. I’m working to conceptualize and develop a recording that will be available in the near future!
