amy necci, kids yoga teacherDid you ever listen to a song and think, “Wow! This completely captures how I’m feeling right now in my life?” True, songs are often about love and about how two people relate to one another.  For me, though, many times the words speak to me about how I interact with myself – all the different “selves” that appear. Music has been an important part of my life for a long time, and lately I’m reconnecting with some music from my past that is fully speaking to my present and my future.

I was driving recently and listening to an old CD of The Corrs.  Two songs in particular made my heart sing as my voice was singing along, all of me alive with the energy the sound of the music gave me.  The lyrics were almost like messages to me from somewhere deep inside telling me I’m exactly where I’m meant to be, and that now really is the right time to push past my edge and any fears that are still holding on.  When I look inside, I’m reminded to look closer, beyond what I might see as a result of being stuck in a pattern of thinking.

I have been using anchor songs for the past year to help me keep going in other areas that I’m working on.  These two songs have just become my new anchors as I continue to let my radiance shine out into the world. I hope you’ll enjoy them and find something for you in these songs or others, if that feels right to you as you walk your path.
