Death As An Advisor in the Life of the Yogi: A Katha Upanishad Inspired Practice

The Katha upanishad's unique context in which a young boy converses with Yama the god of death, is a teaching in and of itself. Life presents us with many opportunities to let go in order to grow, and usually when we are faced with such a predicament we experience fear and doubt. In such moments it may be beneficial to turn awareness to our own transitory nature. When we shift perspective and see ourselves as beings with limited time to live and experience, that can infuse us with energy and lust for life, empower our actions and reorient our awareness to what is really important to us.

William Hufschmidt // June 19, 7:30 - 9PM ET

Former Pranakriya Program Director | LMT, E-RYT 500

A Lamp in a Windless Place: Breathing in Uncertain Times

When we live daily with uncertainty, we can forget what a calm and regulated nervous system feels like. Join me for a journey of pranayama and embodied anatomy to experience and remember your Self through breath attunement and presence. This class explores what I have had to learn, unlearn, and relearn about pranayama, breath science, and regulating my body after COVID and managing living with Long COVID. All are welcome. There will be time for Q&A after the class, if you want to stay. Props: Blanket(s), Bolster

Niisa Morton // June 20, 7:30-9PM ET

Pranakriya Program Director | E-RYT 500, RPYT, C-IAYT, YACEP

Deep Stretch & Relax

A meditative movement class focused on using kriyas to deepen your experience, releasing and waking up chronically tight areas that lead to pain and musculoskeletal imbalances. Gradually moving through the body, we will focus on softening, expanding and lengthening connective tissue (fascia) and muscle to improve mobility. This therapeutic approach calms the central nervous system and is a wonderful practice after a busy day or week! Appropriate for all yoga levels and accessible for everyone. Suggested props: mat, cloth yoga strap, yoga blocks, blanket or towel, bolster or pillow

Yoganand Michael Carroll // June 21, 10AM - 12PM ET

Why Join Us…

Coming together as a yoga community to celebrate our lineage honors the roots of the practice and deepens our connection to its wisdom and tradition. It reminds us that yoga is not just an individual journey but a collective path enriched by those who came before us. Shared learning experiences foster mutual growth, inspire new perspectives, and create a supportive environment where each practitioner can thrive. In unity, we strengthen our practice and carry the lineage forward with respect, awareness, and heart.

Plus, 100% of proceeds will go to supporting the school!
