Program Description
This 20-hour course guides yoga teachers through the anatomy and developmental stages the young body experiences from preschool age through the teenage years. Students learn how muscles, bones, brains, and skills develop over time. Trainees practice and learn to cultivate safe and playful movement patterns for each stage of development. Students of the program understand the anatomy and development of growing children in order to safely guide them in movement, and are provided opportunities for self-growth and personal reflection.

We invite yoga teachers from all traditions, parents, child caregivers, daycare teachers and administrators, school teachers and administrators, grandparents, and more to join us for this program and come away with a toolbox full of ways to help kids focus, manage stress, self-soothe, move safely, develop healthy body awareness, and feel good about themselves. This program is part of the core curriculum for Pranakriya’s 95-hour Children’s Yoga Teacher Training certification program, and also serves as an elective for Pranakriya’s 300-hour advanced teacher training program. 20 Yoga Alliance CEU’s.
