Before
Here, as I sit down to plan my weekend class, it hits me that I could use some inspiration. I walk to my usual stack of books and manuals, always there for a solid quote or a pose that I always forget about… And there I see it….
A large spiral bound book, still with the yellow syllabus slid into the transparent front cover.
A flood of fond memories roll through my mind..
Warming my heart…
widening the smile across my face.
Everytime I pick up the 200 YTT manual, I am reminded of the start…
Those hard tireless weekends before.
Before I found my voice.
Before I found my confidence.
The days before my heart knew what it felt like to be open.
The days before I knew who I was or at least learned that she was still in there.
Prior to feeling part of a community…a community that saw me..that allows ME.
Prior to the knowledge. The connection. The magic.
The experience and the ripple effect that continues to flow are always so hard to explain in words, especially to those who don’t understand, who haven’t gone through it.
But maybe instead of sharing it in words, it is supposed to come through my teaching.
Through the..
The Design,
The Routine,
The Awareness,
The Breath,
The Deepness,
The Connection.
I try not to think about where I would be without Pranakriya but in those moments when it does cross my mind, I gently switch those thoughts to gratitude, love and excitement for what is next.
