The Hester Lee Furey Scholarship is named for Lee Furey who has volunteered tirelessly to Pranakriya for the past decade. Lee has long advocated for Pranakriya to provide educational opportunities to members of the community who lack the financial resources to join our programming. This scholarship aims to alleviate a student's financial burden of program costs and make the PK education more accessible.

We are happy to announce that the application for 2027 January-June programs can be found at the link below. Applications and all supporting documentation must be received by November 16, 2026 to be considered for a December 2, 2026 award. Awards can be applied to the January-August, 2027 programs currently listed in the application. One $200 scholarship may be awarded for each of the 20hr programs currently open for registration. One $340 award may be awarded for the 34hr program, Pranayama Theory and Teaching, offered in January 2027. See the schedule of offerings here.

Scholarship awards will be direcly applied to the program the student plans to attend and for which they register. No money will be exchanged. Students cannot receive more than two scholarships per calendar year. Pranakriya board members and their immediate family members should not be eligible for scholarships.
