Sari-Silk Wrapped Journals with Handmade Paper

from $16.00
sale

Beautifully crafted Fair Trade notebooks bound in a vibrant sari material (saris are from Varansi). Each 6.5” x 4.5” journal contains 30 pages of blank handmade recycled cotton paper (khadda) and is fastened with a traditional wrap around string.

Khadda is recycled cotton that has been left over from the massive garment industry in India. It is stunning and very easy to write on, however, we don't recommend using fountain pen with this type of handmade paper. The paper is made by a charity in rural Rajasthan that promotes women’s education and their social standing in the rural villages.

The notebooks are made in a small workshop in Rajasthan, India by skilled crafts people using a mixture of traditional and contemporary methods. Done “in-house” at Pranakriya, each notebook is embellished by unique block stamping in the back, and a sparkly PK yogi graces the inside front cover. The uniqueness of each book is rounded out with a large tassel in varying colors.

Each piece is one-of-a-kind, and variation in stamping, binding, paper, and color should be expected, as with all handmade products. Limited availability.

USPS ground shipping to 50 US states included. Orders $50+ ship priority.

Products ship 1-3 business days after order is received. For international orders, please contact info@pranakriya.com to be sure we can ship to you. If you wish to upgrade the shipping to USPS priority or USPS express, or change your shipping to FedEx or UPS, please purchase the item as listed, and contact info@pranakriya.com the same day as your order to upgrade. (You will be billed the difference separately once your item has shipped.)

Refunds: return the item at your cost and receive a refund of the cost of the item minus $7 shipping and processing.
