Traveling to the Retreat
The closest airport to Boquete is in David, Panama.
Some participants last time chose to travel through Panama City and into David and back all on one ticket. Others traveled to San Jose, Costa Rica and made their way to Boquete from there. Still others took time in Panama City before and/or after the retreat in Boquete, and had separate tickets from Panama City to David and back or drove the Pan American Highway together to arrive in Boquete. There are so many things to explore in Panama and nearby!
Below are a few suggested itineraries to get you to the retreat. Whatever travel arrangements work best for you, please know that the retreat will begin at 6:00 pm on Monday, March 10, 2025. Once your deposit and registration are received and secure your spot in the retreat, we suggest you look into your travel options, and review what you will need for documentation.

We can provide guidance on optional additional activities near Boquete or Panama City, recommend some tour providers and hotels, etc.
We will have regularly scheduled Zoom calls for participants to ask questions about the retreat, travel, and more.
Suggested Travel Itineraries
Travel is self-booked and not included in the retreat pricing.
Arrival - Option 1 (recommended):
Sunday, March 9, 2025: Arrive in *Panama City and stay at the Crowne Hotel or Hotel Riande near the airport (once your deposit it accepted, Pranakriya will help connect you with others who might also be planning to stay in Panama City). Options to tour around, grab dinner with other PK retreat participants who are also there, etc. Note that it can take more than an hour to get into downtown from the airport and there is not much to do (other than relax and meet up with others) near the airport.
Monday, March 10, 2023: Take morning flight to David, Panama. Airport transfer from David airport to retreat site is included in the retreat pricing. Spend a little time settling in and getting a guided orientation in the town of Boquete before the program begins in the evening.
*All Panama City activities, including getting from the airport to the hotel, hotel stay, meals, getting back to the airport are self-pay and not included in the retreat pricing. (Same applies for return travel)

Arrival - Option 2:
Monday, March 10, 2025: Fly to David, Panama by way of Panama City. *At the time of planning this retreat, and writing this guidance, there is one morning flight (early) to David and one afternoon flight as well. Airport transfer from David airport to retreat site is included in retreat pricing for arrivals on Monday, March 10 and departures on Saturday, March 15. We can note that those who traveled on this schedule for our 2023 retreat may have felt quite rushed as they arrived by bus just as the group was gathering to begin the retreat. Flight delays or traffic between the airport and Boquete (1 hour) will result in missing the beginning of the session.
Option 3:
If you are coming from elsewhere (have been touring around before the retreat, etc.), please just be sure to be at the retreat site for the start of the program.
We will gather to begin the retreat at 6:00 pm local time on Monday, March 10, 2025.
Departures
Saturday, March 15, 2025: Take morning flight out of David, Panama to your final or next destination (with connection in Panama City for those returning to the US). Airport transfer from retreat site to David airport is included in the retreat pricing.
Extended Stays
If you plan to arrive earlier or stay longer in Boquete and want to keep your accommodation or at least stay at the retreat location, please let us know ASAP and we can ask the hotel about availability and additional cost (pay directly to the hotel). There are also many hotel options in Boquete town.
