Before diving in take a moment to thank your body.

Bring hands to your head and take a breath here. Then down to your shoulders, another breath, your belly, and a final breath with hands resting on the tops of your legs. With each breath stay connected and aware as you say "thank you body, for supporting me in all my practices".

Now read on for your first lesson....

Day 1: Darkness & Body Awareness

So why start here and what is this darkness?

When you practice body awareness and truly sit with yourself, you have an opportunity to practice witnessing. Being witness to your physical body and its sensations, the Annamaya Kosha, allows you to experience the first layer that interacts with Prana or life force. Through this awareness, you’ll begin to see what is a story, how that story changes the way you view your reality.

Awareness without attachment is an important aspect of Pranakriya teachings. You find it by going inside - that inner darkness that surrounds all layers of the human body, mind and soul.

In the darkness we find Prana.

Day 1: Companion Quote

“I give you one secret. Whatever you seek in life, you will find through this practice. Just learn to do self-observation. By this practice, you will be able to master your mind, your intellect, and your ego. It is the surest and easiest way to progress.” - Swami Kripalu

With this next practice, we hope to support you in better understanding your subtle energy, your Prana, and grow deeper awareness.
